E-Mail: MerchantVenturers@btinternet.com
"Welcome to The Merchant Venturer's Website. For centuries there have been Merchant (Ad)Venturers who have sailed from these shores in search of merchandise to trade in England. Today we continue this long tradition scouring the continents after goods for the re-enactor, museums or anyone who has an interest in our past. Whether it be glass from the Czech Republic or Rushnips from Indonesia, I am sure you will find something to take pride of place in your tent or your home!
Being re-enactors ourselves we realise how expensive it can be equipping yourself, we therefore always try to be as competitive as we can whilst not compromising authenticity. Our stock is constantly changing so if you do not find what you want today, please come back soon - or perhaps you could visit us at one of our events this year!
"
Liz: Wonderful and shiney things for all re-enactors!

Chris Dobson.
Professional armourer running a series of Masterclasses, specifically
designed for re-enactors and armour enthusiasts. These are residential
course run over weekends, at my workshop in Suffolk.
Class members are taught basic techniques in armour production for
various periods. They all get to take something home that they have made,
and they have the chance to copy some of the patterns I use to make my
reproductions. We also have the 'Surgery', where class members can bring
along something they have made or bought, that they may be having problems
with (not firearms). Cameras are welcome.
I had started by posting class dates for 17th Century/Civil War, with
14th and 15th Century classes coming later, but I am already getting enquiries
for these earlier periods, so I am getting the courses outlined right now.
